Here at A SoundObjective it’s never just another day at the office! Yesterday I was at the beautiful Olympias Valley Estate in rural Petaluma, CA. I was once again providing the wedding sound for the ceremony and Ivy Hill Entertainment‘s awesome musicians. – We got to witness yet another really sweet couple so deeply in love, surrounded by their closest family and friends, celebrating their lifelong commitment to one another. It was a great honor to be involved with such a lovely and very touching ceremony. ❤️
Two awesome back to back weddings this past weekend! This was my view of the dance floor as things were winding down at The Archery in San Francisco. 🙂 – I always want my participation in every wedding to be perfect but there was even more riding on this one because it had been delayed 6 months due to a sudden, heartbreaking death in the family. I already get teary eyed at most of the wedding ceremonies but it was really hard to not get choked up during the speeches and toasts when hearing about what the families endured. Much love and utmost respect to Ivy Hill Entertainment and Eileen’s E Events co. team for making this one extra, EXTRA special for the families. ❤️
A Sound Objective provided the sound systems for another lovey wedding yesterday in Live Oak, CA! It was hot, hot, HOT outside but everyone had a great time and two more beautiful people are happily married. ♥️ – LGBT weddingLesbian WeddingMarriage EqualityTwo Brides 👰👰
My night off was spent at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema SF where I was donating a PA system for Rogue Wave’s‘s live performance after the screening of D-Tour. Zach and Pat played a unique variety of songs and it was really great to see so many people turn out for the event. 🙂 – If you’ve never seen Jim Granato‘s excellent documentary about Rogue Wave drummer Pat Spurgeon‘s life or death search for a kidney donor then do yourself a favor and add it to your MUST SEE list of great music biopic’s. It’s an inspiring true story about the tenacity and determination required to keep following your dreams, no matter what illness or tragedy may befall you. It’s both uplifting and heart wrenching at the same time. I can’t recommend it highly enough. – Thanks to Sharon from Donor Network West for staffing the table and being available to speak about the importance of volunteering to be an organ donor.
Here’s last night’s view from behind the audio table facade. For me it was a 18+ hour day but everything turned out beautifully and a really sweet couple got married at the gorgeous Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley. Huge thanks to Ivy Hill Entertainment for bringing A Sound Objective in on another gig to provide our wedding sound services!
This past weekend we provided sound for Ivy Hill Entertainment and Sasser Events at three more weddings. One was in Nevada City, another (pictured here) in Tahoe City and the third was in San Francisco. Lovely people, beautiful venues, great food and good music were enjoyed by all.
Yesterday I had the honor and privilege of providing the sound system (and mixing) for the AWESOME Heather Mae set at the Curvy Girl Lingerie store in San Jose, CA. She put on such a beautiful performance with excellent songs and stories and everyone there was so connected and moved by her music and messages. It was truly one of the most proud moments of my career to have been there in a supporting role.
Huge thanks to both Heather Mae for traveling so far and Chrystal for being the generous, benevolent force that brings so many people together in Body Positivity. Also, a huge shout out to Suzanne of Little Spiral Music for generously donating an awesome keyboard for Heather Mae to use!
